I'm a System Administrator in a DevOps team with 1y 6m of production
experience. My day-to-day is the monitoring stack - Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos,
Alertmanager - running across multiple services: ClickHouse, ZooKeeper, Aerospike,
proxies, bare-metal servers, network devices and microservices.
I also wear the netadmin hat: MikroTik and Arista gear, SNMP, DHCP, DNS,
firewalling, VLANs and WireGuard. And the unglamorous part - racks, disks, the physical
layer. When something pages at 03:00, it's me typing journalctl and
systemctl status.
